Here are some affordable things to do in Dublin, Ireland during your vacation.
Take a guided tour. If you don't have a lot of time, or if you have limited funds, consider taking a tour of Dublin to see many sites. A couple of tour companies to consider are Over the Top Tours and Day Tours Unplugged. The Over the Top Tours feature four different tours: Wicklow Day Tour, Celtic day Tour, Mystery day Tour and Newgrange Shuttlebus. The tours cost about 29 euros for adults and 27 euros for students. Day Tours Unplugged features two different tours, one of the Wicklow Mountains, Glendalough starting from 22 euros and the other of Braveheart Castle, Coast, Hill of Tara, Howth starting from 32 euros.
Visit a castle. Dublin Castle is a must-see stop for all of those taking a first time trip to Dublin. Dublin Castle was built over a period of 12 years, between 1208 and 1220 and is some of the oldest architecture still remaining in the city. Admission to Dublin Castle is 4.25 euros for adults, 3.25 euros for senior citizens and students and 1.75 euros for children until 12.
Enjoy the Dublin nightlife. After you've done your day tours of Dublin, it's time to relax at night. One popular Dublin bar that you can visit is Temple Bar. Lots of people like to visit Dublin on the weekends, so if you're at Temple Bar on the weekends, you'll be amongst others that want to have a good time.
Take in a theatre production show. During one of your evenings in Dublin, Ireland, watch a theatre production show at The Abbey Theatre or The Gate Theatre. Tickets for plays at The Abbey Theatre are about 33 euros for standard admission and 23 euros for student and senior citizen admission. Parking at The Abbey Theatre is five euros during the evening. The Abbey Theatre is at 26 Lower Abbey St, DUBLIN 1, Ireland‎. Plays at The Gate Theatre range in price from 20 euros to 35 euroes. Parking costs four euros and the proceeds go to the hospital. The Gate Theatre is at Cavendish Row, Parnell Square, Dublin 1, Ireland.
Enjoy Dublin cuisine. There are a number of Dublin restaurants and pubs you can visit. Among them is Gallagher Boxty House, Govindas, Bewley's, Epicurean Centre and Oliver St. John Gogarty. There is enough variety in cuisine that you're sure to find something to fit your budget as you dine in Dublin, Ireland.
