Being hungry can cause you to give into a craving and mess up your diet for the day. It's a bad situation to be in if you really want to lose weight and be successful. If you don't learn how to take care of hunger problems, you might not ever succeed in losing weight. There are things that you can do that will help you.
Get busier. Fill up your schedule with things to do. Don't have blocks of time where it will be easy to reach for a snack and start eating. Many people eat too much because they are bored. If your evenings don't have much to do besides watch television, find something else to do and fill up your schedule. When busy, you don't notice hunger or cravings as easily.
Try to stay away from the smells of foods you are missing. If you love pizza and smell it, it's likely that you are going to give in and want to try some. If you avoid these smells, you can help deal with the hunger or cravings not coming up as often.
Start eating high volume and low calorie foods. These are things like vegetables and fruits. You can eat many of these in mass without consuming that many calories, which helps fill you up without adding on weight.
Drink more water. Water will help you with many hunger pains. Sometimes you feel hungry, but 15 minutes after drinking water it goes away because your body was actually thirsty. Also, water takes up some space in your stomach, making it a bit easier.
