Want to brag about your high-score, a great app you just discovered or simply wish to share with friends a moment with your precious iPad? Taking a screenshot on an iPad is simple as 1, 2 and 3 and can be accomplished in just a few steps.
In particular:
1. Turn on your iPad and locate the image you wish to take a screenshot of.
2. Once you do, hold down the 'Home' button and the 'Sleep/Wake' button on the top of your device.
3. The screen will flash white for a second and a camera sound click will be heard. That means your action was successful and the screenshot was taken. If not, repeat the above step.
4. Locate your screenshot by taping on the 'Photos' folder; your screenshot will be saved as any other image file.
5. Share your screenshot directly via the 'Email Photo' option. All you have to do is to open up the screenshot image and tap on the curved arrow on the top right. A list will show up; tap on the 'Email Photo', choose the recipients and you are done!
6. Alternatively, you can transfer the screenshot to your personal computer by syncing the iPad with it. After your pc detects your device, launch iTunes, click on 'Photos' and copy-paste the screenshot to your desktop.
Important tips
- Make sure you have enough space on your hard drive before saving a screenshot.
- If you also own and iPhone or iPod Touch, then you can easily sync all of your iDevices and transfer an iPad screenshot to all of them.
- Keep in mind that if you do not hear the camera clicking sound and the screen will not go white for a second, then the screenshot was not taken.
You can take a screenshot from literally any action you take on your iPad. Launch your favorite app, game and music video and take a screenshot from your world record on a game, your artistic intervention in any painting or music app or simply show-off your music and e-book collection to friends and family. Taking a screenshot is simple and can be done in just a few seconds.
