The week before your vacation at home, you will need to clean up your house, or hire someone to do it for you. If the place is clean, you will be able to enjoy your vacation instead of trying to catch up on housework. Many cleaning services offer a discounted fee if this is your first time using them. Ask if they have any kind of deals when you call. You can find your own local cleaning team by having your family help you spruce up your home. You can divide and conquer the housework faster if you have more people to help.

The week of your vacation at home, you will want to plan what meals you want to have during your stay. Alternatively, you can find out if there are any services like a food courier, curbside service or delivery at your favorite restaurants. Next, you will want to decide what theme you want your vacation to take, for example if you want to have a spa day you will want to check up on your supplies in your bathroom closet. If you have kids, you will have to ask them to find a place to stay overnight, a friend's house under the supervision of their parents or a grandparent's house.
