How to Get Targeted Google Traffic with YouTube

Zac Linzmeier
Almost everyone involved in Internet marketing knows that Google is key for getting a lot of highly targeted traffic to their web pages. What many people seem to be completely oblivious too is an easy method of getting those top spots on Google in order to get the Google traffic for whatever targeted keyword they are after. This article will outline a very simple strategy on how to get tons of targeted Google traffic quickly from YouTube.

Now we all know that YouTube traffic is fairly poor, it is okay for certain things but incredibly difficult to convert into paying leads. Fortunately this method is not about YouTube traffic, but rather about how to use YouTube to get high ranking spots on Google. You see Google owns YouTube and because of this they give 1-2 spots on page 1 for any long term keyword to YouTube videos with these some long tails in their titles. Of course this does not work for highly competitive phrases such as 'acai' but for a long tail such as 'facts about acai berry scam' it is incredibly easy to hit page one of Google with your video; something that would take far more time to accomplish with an article, blog post or landing page.

The strategy is very simple, create a video that your target demographic will enjoy, you are not trying to make a commercial here! Watermark the video with your website's URL, you can use Windows Movie Maker to do this for free. Now upload the video to YouTube. Make sure to put your target long tail keyword as the title, nothing else. Now put your full URL, http:// included, as the first thing in the description. Follow this up with your long tail keyword in your description again.

All that is left now is a couple of backlinks, for low competition keywords this is not even necessary but it good to do anyways. Just head over to Digg.com, StumbleUpon.com and Propeller.com and submit your movie there. Now sit back and relax or move on to the next one. Your video will soon be on page 1 of Google for the long tail keyword that you have targeted leading a high number of people from Google to click through on your URL and view your web page.

This hold the additional advantage of appearing as a YouTube video on Google's search engine results, this makes your video stand out much more, even have a thumbnail, and get far more clicks than anyone else on that page.
