Todd Hicks
Are you a schoolteacher or someone who has the desire to go into this profession? If you make the decision to work in this occupation, it is important to get your students into the habit of doing activities in a group and teach them how to work well with their fellow group members. By reading this article, you will learn a variety of bulletin board ideas for teaching the kids the concept of teamwork.

The First One you can use: This one focuses on respect. You need to teach the students to treat their partners with respect and praise them if they are putting forth a serious effort.

The Second One you can use: This one focuses on cooperation. The kids have to be encouraged to cooperate by following their team's rules and properly filling the roles they have been assigned.

The Third One you can use: This one focuses on commitment. The children need to learn to be committed to always being on time for the activities and doing the best they can.

The Fourth One you can use: This one focuses on "I". It is necessary to tell the students there is no "I" in 'team' and that it is essential to not focus on themselves too much. They must be taught to not be too concerned about their individual achievements when they are not working alone.

The Fifth One you can use: This one focuses on being able to work with everyone. The kids have to learn they will have to be able to handle working on a team that includes someone they do not like.

The Sixth One you can use: This one focuses on reaching a consensus. You have to say, "When you work on a group project, you must work toward a group consensus in which you all come to an agreement on how the work will be done."

The Seventh One you can use: This one focuses on acknowledging others. The children must learn to acknowledge the contributions of their partners instead of hogging all of the glory.

The Eighth One you can use: This one focuses on sharing. The students must learn to share the creation of ideas with their fellow members.

You have learned bulletin board ideas for teaching the concept of teamwork. If you incorporate them and others you can think of, you will likely help the kids become successful team members.
