How to Tell when a Guy is Ready to Take the Relationship to the Next Level!

Don't make the dreaded mistake of saying the following words:

"I am ready to take my relationship to the next level and MAKE him commit."

Girls, first of all, the only person that a person has true control over is themselves meaning you can't make a guy commit to you if he doesn't want to.

Second of all, if you have the mindset of "making someone commit to you" then point blank you are not mature enough (no matter how old you are) or sensitive enough to take any relationship to the next level.

When a person talks about taking a relationship to the next level that normally means one of two things, marriage or a joint living situation.

A serious commitment like marriage or cohabitating requires a certain maturity level and more importantly, a massive amount of respect not only for the person that you want to be in a committed relationship with but for yourself as well.

I mean who really and truly wants to take a relationship to the next level with an insecure doormat?

If a person is really and truly ready to take a relationship to the next level believe me THEY WILL LET YOU KNOW! Don't force it!

I mean, they may not shout it from the rooftops or anything because that may not be their style but when they are ready to seriously commit to you and take the relationship to the next level trust me girls THEY WILL LET YOU KNOW!

Keep your eyes and ears open for the signs. There are alot of them but here are a few.

One of the biggest signs that a guy is ready to take the relationship to the next level is when he wants to get all exclusive on your ass. Basically what this means is that your man only wants to date you and nobody else and he wants you only to date him and nobody else. These are the words that every girl who is hopelessly in love and wants a serious committed relationship wants to hear. (And girls who want to take their relationships to the next level, I hope that you hear these words soon!)

Another big sign that a guy is ready to take the relationship to the next level is when he gets marriage motormouth syndrome which means that he just can't keep his yap shut about wanting to get married. He basically spills his guts to anyone and everyone within hearing distance with a pulse including his most diehard single playa' friends day and night about anything marriage-related. He may even leave wedding magazines around both of your houses or "accidentally" drive or walk by bakeries with big and beautiful wedding cakes on display. Real subtle, right? But who the hell cares! This is a huge sign that a guy is ready to get serious. Yeah!

When your man continually asks you to make joint investments or purchases with him this is yet another good sign that it is time to take the relationship to the next level. Whether it be opening up a joint bank account, buying an automobile together or even pooling your money together to buy a cheap-ass birthday gift for one of your closest friends, if your man is constantly asking you to make joint investments or purchases with him and your positive that he's not using you for money because he's too broke-ass, don't be afraid to bring up the marriage or moving in together thing. Major rule of thumb, when it comes to money most people don't play! Why would a person continually ask you to combine their money with your money if they didn't seriously care about you and want to take the relationship to the next level.

A major fact of life is that most people can be very selfish when it comes to their personal belongings especially the ones that they bought with their own money. Sharing becomes very difficult. So when your man decides to give you your own sock drawer, shelf in the refrigerator or toothbrush holder in the bathroom this is a major breakthrough for your relationship! Rejoice because your partner is getting out of the mindset of mine, mine, mine and beginning to think mine and yours! Yet another good sign that it is time to take the relationship to the next level.

And last but certainly not least is the grandaddy of signs that it is time to take the relationship to the next level. Drum roll please! MEETING THE PARENTS! Reality check: Most men don't want their woman within spitting distance of their parents until they truly believe that they are the one so when your man takes you to meet his parents or wants you to start getting to know them, break out the damn tang and party like an astronaut because usually a serious commitment is right around the corner.
