How to Tell If Your Guy is Fertile

Gerald McLeod
Not every woman desires it, but the majority of them will want to. What is that? Get pregnant, put a bun in their oven, have a baby. Despite all of the wonders of medical technology, artificial insemination and the like, men still play a major role in pregnancy and fertility and 40 percent of the time also play a role in fertility problems. Did you know there are a lot of ways you can use to tell if your potential mating partner is fertile? Just by giving him a good once-over, the presence of certain positive signs is all that you need.

Just out of habit, whenever there is an negative infertile diagnosis, initial thoughts are often directed toward the woman. But the truth of matter is that infertility issues are nearly equally shared between both men and women. Maintaining that infertility is entirely a woman's problem is one of the many myths closely held by society regarding the ability to conceive.

A few other fertility myths are bicycling does not affect fertility. Actually it does because cycling for a long period of time raises scrota temperature which temporarily affects sperm production. Men do not have fertility cycles. The time of the year and the time of the day does affect sperm count. Sperm counts are higher during the winter and low in the summer month. Obesity can affect sperm production, but a little known fact is being underweight can also. Both situations are linked to hormone imbalances. Lubricants do not speed up sperm. Lubricants decrease friction but they also can be counter productive because they can interfere with sperm motility and may contain ingredients that are toxic to sperm.

There are many other fertility myths these are only a few. As you can see, infertility is a topic which is shrouded in myth and misconception. Getting pregnant is not always easy. But what are those positive signs you should be looking for to determine if he is fertile?

Check out his sperm. The cloudier his semen is the more sperm it is likely to contain. The viscosity or gooeyness is also important. The consistency of his sperm determines how fast it will leak out of you.

Does he have a flat stomach? A spare tire around the mid-drift also known as excess belly this could impede the testosterone supply or baby making abilities. Testosterone is a very key hormone when it comes to conceiving. Testosterone is also necessary to build muscles. Ripped pecs are a sign of high fertility.

Where is his urethra located? His urethra is the hole at the end of his penis. It should be located right at the tip of the head of his penis. If located down near the shaft, it is possible this could affect his sperms ability to swim or be released in the right direction within your vagina.

Does he have big balls? Sperm is produced in his testicles, therefore, the bigger they are, the more sperm he will produce. If they are the size of a walnut, that is a healthy size. If cherry size or smaller, that could mean he has reduced fertility.

What are the more hairy parts on his body? A hairy face, arm pits, and section around the genitalia are a good sign of high testosterone. Male pattern baldness is also said to often occur in men with high amounts of testosterone.

Understand these positive signs are not guarantees of male fertility but are good physical signs and do scratch the surface.
