How to Tell when Someone is Lying to You?

Norma Chew
I think lying plays a role in all relationships. What do you think?
Sometimes lying can be harmless.
For example, some one says to you, "where did you get those two big diamonds?"
You say, "what diamonds?"
They say," those two in your eyes."
This would be harmless lying and a great compliment.

However, when it comes to serious lying it is good to know how to detect the signs.
There are certain groups of people who are experts at doing just that.
Using the strategies of these experts will help you to tell when someone is lying to you.

The Experts are:
Mothers, wives, body language experts, jurors, cops and toddlers.
As you read the techniques they use, think of the ones you can use to tell when some one is lying to you. Keep in mind that not all of these techniques will be applicable to your situation but, you should find a few that will help you to tell when someone is lying to you.

MOTHERS

Mothers always know when you are lying, they look straight into your eyes and watch your pupils dilate as you are trying to lie with a straight face.
They check your room for tell tale signs about whatever they want to know and they will even threaten or bribe your siblings to give up the information they are seeking.
There is no sense in lying to your mom, she will know.

WIVES

Ninety-nine percent of husbands are honest, faithful and loyal; they know they would never get away with lying to their wives. Wives are experts at telling when their husbands are lying, so, the one percent of husbands who lie to their wives, always, always look back in regret. Wives immediately spot the signs if their husbands try to lie to them.
They look for fidgeting, nervousness, rocking back and forth, blinking of the eyes and lack of eye contact. They notice if their husband goes into another room while still carrying on the conversation with them. Wives check for tell tale signs like, someone else's hair or lip stick on shirt collars. They check wallets, pants pockets and glove boxes for clues and will go as far as hiring a private detective to track activities.
Wives can tell when husbands are lying to them so; most husbands never lie to their wives.

BODY LANGUAGE EXPERTS

These are the best lie detectors. Body language experts are schooled in eye movements and facial expressions. They observe the way you sit and the way you stand, they check for every move your entire body makes. They have been schooled in the interpretation of body language. Husbands who have wives who are body language experts are the most honest husbands on the planet.

JURORS

Jurors have lots of help to tell if someone is lying to them.
They work together to decide if someone is lying to them.
They deliberate the issues for hours and sometimes days.
They examine evidence and exhibits, they listen to witnesses, closing arguments and more before coming to a verdict to which all the jurors must agree.
They do have lots of help and yes, their job is difficult.
Ninety-nine-point-nine-nine percent of the times they can tell when someone is lying to them.

COPS

Cops are great at telling when you are lying:
Their sirens make you nervous and so scared you can hardly think.
They ask for identification, registration, insurance papers and a driver's license.
Shining a light in your face, patting you down, searching your car, asking you to walk a straight line and taking a breath test are some of the strategies they use. There is not much of a chance that you will get away with lying to the cops.

TODDLERS
Toddlers never lie they are honest to a tee. They will tell you if you have bad breath, body odor and any thing else they can figure out about you. They will tell you this by yourself or with others around you. They can absolutely tell when you are lying to them, they have a natural intuition and lie detector radars. Never ever lie to a toddler, they always know.

Now you have some of the ways and means that these experts use to tell when someone is lying to them. Use these ways and means, along with your intuition and common sense and you will always be able to tell when someone is lying to you.
