How to Get Tested Confidentially for Sexually Transmitted Diseases

If Your Having Sex, Then You Need to Read This.

Getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases is a very important part of being responsible when you are sexually active. Even if some do not like to hear it, many teenagers are sexually active and do not get tested for the fear that their parents will find out. Little do they know, STD testing is completely confidential.

One of the best places to call is American Social Health Association at 1-800-227-8922. They will be able to direct you to many local doctors that provide quick and confidential STD tests for both male and female.

Planned Parenthood is another excellent resource for people to get tested confidentially for Std' s. You can contact them at 1-800-230-PLAN or open your local telephone book and find one in your area. Be sure and give them a call to make sure they treat both male and female. Remember that Planned Parenthood does cater to teenage mothers more then anything.

National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association will help you in your search of local providers that offer STD testing for a minimal cost or at no cost. Give them a call at 1-202-293-3114.

You can also visit a local clinic for little or no cost. No matter where you go, STD testing will always be confidential. I want to keep stressing the fact to all those teenagers out there who are so worried that their parents will find out that they are sexually active.

I know there will be some parents that will criticize me for telling teenagers to go out and get tested for sexually transmitted diseases, without talking to their parents first. Well, some parents are just ridiculous when it comes to sex and their children. Those teenagers know that they cannot even fathom the idea of going to their parents for answers regarding sex. Instead of taking care of it, they just act as if it does not exist. Unfortunately, that is much more harmful then good. Go get tested whether they want you to or not.

Do however, try and sit your parents down if you have not yet. You never know how they might respond. Sometimes teenagers do not give their parents enough credit, first try and if that does not go as planned, make the appointment as soon as possible.

Calling all young people. Get tested, and hopefully you'll be clear. Then start looking for a spouse so you don't have to worry about this stuff anymore. Too many young men are not interested in getting married these days, it's a real problem. Girls, stop giving the milk until they buy the cow.
