We all like to set a sweet table, especially for big holidays such as Thanksgiving. Want a unique way to decorate your holiday dinner masterpiece? Make this simple yet elegant turkey breadbasket to adorn your table. You and your guest will delight in the prettiness it lends to the day!

What you will need:
Large Wooden Spoon and flat wooden craft spoon
Glue stick and tacky glue
Googly eyes, pencil, scissors
mulit-colors of construction paper
Red marker, florists foam or Styrofoam block
colorful wrapping paper and waxed paper
thin wooden skewers
Basket for the turkey's body, make sure it is big enough to put rolls or bread in
Cloth dinner napkin

To start your project, you will first make your turkey's head. Turn the large wooden spoon so that the back of it will be the turkey's face. Use the tacky glue to carefully glue on the googly eyes. Use a piece of yellow construction paper for the beak, and glue that into place as well.

Use the red marker to color the turkey's wattle onto the flat wooden craft spoon. Then, glue it onto the face at an angle, making the top of it overlap the beak a bit. Hint: To make it dry well, use pinch clothespins to hold it temporarily in place.

Cut out a bunch of colored feathers from the sheets of construction paper, measuring about 10 inches or so long, and almost 2 inches across the widest part. Then use the wrapping paper to cut the same amount of feathers out of, but trim them a bit so they are a little bit smaller than the solid-colored ones.

For an easier clean-up, place waxed paper down or newspaper. For each feather lay the construction paper cutout down and place one wooden skewer on top of it. Leave the blunt end about an inch or even half an inch below the top of the feather, leaving the pointed end extending about 3 inches below it. Use a glue stick to cover the underneath of a printed feather. Press it, glue side on the bottom, onto the construction paper feather, so that the skewer is between the two layers.

Now put the foam block into the basket, trimming it to fit if you need to. In the front of the basket, push the spoon handle as far down as you can into the foam to secure it. on the opposite end, put the feathers. Cover up the foam block with the cloth napkin, and you can now use your turkey breadbasket!
