How to Three-Way Call from a Blackberry

The Blackberry is a smartphone that is manufactured by RIM (Research In Motion), which is a Canadian company. It is designed to be your mobile office, allowing you to access your email, the Internet and other such tools, all from a small handheld device. One of the helpful features is the ability to do three-way calling.

While you may think it would be difficult to make a three-way phone call from your Blackberry, that isn't the case at all. This is thanks to the built-in three-way calling feature. Here is how to use it.

You will need to begin by calling the first person. Once this phone call is connected and you double-check this by actually talking to the first person, you can move on to add the next person to your call.

Press either your "talk" button or the green call button on your Blackberry phone. This will allow you to place your first phone call on hold while you make your second phone call. You can either type in the second number or you can choose it from your phone's contact list.

Once you connect this phone call, go to your phone's menu and use your track ball to scroll down to the "Join" option. You will want to click on "join" by pressing your track ball and selecting this command. This will automatically join your two calls together so you will be able to have a three-way conversation.

To make sure that everyone is on the same phone line, you will want to speak to both of the callers and ask them to speak to one another too. When everyone is able to hear one another, you will know that you have successfully connected the call.

It is possible to add more than two people to a conversation on a Blackberry. You simply need to follow this same process for everyone you want to add. Make sure you don't add too many people or the call's quality may diminish. You also don't want to add so many people that nobody is able to hear the people on the other end of the phone.

After the call is finished and you are ready to disconnect just one person, you will need to press the menu button. Here you will find an option that says, "End Call." Once you find this option, you will be able to select the person you would like to disconnect from the phone call.

Once you do this for the first time, you will see it really is quite easy to make a three-way call from your Blackberry.
