Invitations
Any invitations that you can find at a local party store with Bob the Builder are a great addition for the birthday party invitations. You can also find Bob the builder birthday party invitations online here. You can also look at places like Target and Wal-Mart for any birthday invitations that have construction trucks or equipment on them, as those will go well with the Bob the Builder theme also.
If you wish, you can also make your own Bob the Builder invitations for the birthday party. Get some card stock or heavy construction paper and draw the outline of a hammer, a bulldozer or a construction hat. Cut out the item that you drew. Add some effects with a marker so that others know what the item is, such as on the hammer you can outline the handle and the grips on the handle. Using marker, write out the birthday party information on the main part of the invitation.
Birthday Cake
For a Bob the Builder birthday cake, you can take a regular sheet cake and add a construction scene from Bob the Builder on it. If you wish you can even buy a small Bob the Builder toy or a bulldozer toy and place it on top of the birthday cake.
Decorations
There are all types of Bob the Builder decorations available for a birthday party for a little boy. You can go with ordinary birthday decorations such as balloons, banners, or posters, with Bob the Builder on them. Or you can think outside the box and make your own birthday party decorations. Take some of the little boy's construction trucks and scatter them around the room. Place some on the tables and others on the ground. Purchase some cheap plastic construction hats and decorate the room with those. These can also be taken home by the party guests as favors. Use the colors that Bob the Builder are known for: blue, gold and red, and hang streamers across the room. If you don't mind getting a little dirty, you can even have a construction zone for the kids to play in. Get a sandbox or section off a part of your yard and put the construction toys out there for the kids to play in and pretend that they are Bob the Builder.
Favors
There are a couple of different things that you can do for favors for a Bob the Builder birthday party. You can go the simple route and purchase Bob the Builder treat bags, found here or you can get a little more creative. Like mentioned before, you can use cheap plastic construction hats as favors. Fill the hats with some candy sealed in a plastic bag so that it doesn't fall out everywhere. Or, find some small plastic traffic cones and fill them with treats for favors for the party guests. If you don't mind spending some money for the favors, visit your local toy store and find some small Bob the Builder toys and hand those out as favors to the party guests. Little boys, and even some little girls, will love these Bob the Builder items.
