First on the list, you need to decide when to have the party and for how long. Are you having a party during the summer or will it be colder outside? Do you want to make the party last for a few hours, overnight or an entire weekend?
Decide where you want to host the party? Really, the possibilities are endless here. Does one of the bride-to-be's friends want to host the party at her house? What is the bride's favorite restaraunt? Many restaraunts have banquet rooms that are free for their paying customers. If you decide to make the bachelorette party last overnight or for the weekend, is there a local hotel that would be a memorable place? Hotels offer swimming, hot tubs, fitness and other fun activities that the bride-to-be might enjoy. If your budget is larger, perhaps the bride would enjoy a cruise for the weekend.
No party is complete without games and activities. What type of things does the bride like to do? Board games can be particularly fun and are a great way to get everyone aquainted with one another. At a recent bachelorette party, we played "Boxers or Briefs" and it was a nice way of getting to know the other women at the party. Provide a list of questions about the bride and see who knows her best. Another fun game is to go on a photo scavenger hunt. Before the shower, make a hunt list that the bride-to-be must complete with her bridesmaids or other attendants. Each activity must be captured by a photo. Here are some suggestions:
1.) Have the bride and two of her attendants put as many marshmallows as possible in their mouth and sing "Happy Shower To You" to the tune of "Happy Birthday"
2.) Blindfold the bride and one of her friends and make the attendant feed the bride chocolate pudding.
3.) Go to a local restaraunt or other place of business and do a pyramid with three or four attendants. Make sure to get the place of business in the picture when you take it.
4.) Fit all of your shower attendants in a public restroom stall and take a picture.
Continue creating ideas that the bachelorette would like. At the party, give the list to the guest of honor and explain the game details. Snap as many pictures as possible, this is sure to be memorable! Another activity is to create a scrapbook of memories. Hae each party attendant bring pictures of her and the bride. Give each guest a sheet from the scrapbook and provide cropping tools, scissors, colored paper, tape runners, stickers and other scrapbooking tools to design pages that showcase the special memories.
If the party lasts overnight or throughout the weekend, you can watch the bride-to-be's favorite movies and dine at her favorite restaraunts. Schedule an appointment at a local salon or spa for makeovers and other pampering. Massages are also a great way to treat the bride-to-be.
With a little imagination you can put together a great party that will never be forgotten! A bachelorette party does not have to be wild and extreme to be fun or memorable. The most important part is to keep in mind what the bachelorette enjoys and plan around her.

Post a CommentA friend of mine had a jewelry making bachelorette party. We had a great time and her Christian family approved of it. I think they used a company called beading buds located in the Toronto, Ontario area.
