Halloween isn't always just for the kids. Many adults enjoy getting all dressed up for the occasion and going to parties with friends and family members. They may not be going for candy like the kids, but they like to have fun like everyone else. Here is how you can throw a great Halloween party for adults only and start a new holiday tradition. You can have it as simple or as ornate as you would like.

Decide if you would like to have a theme for your party. You may choose to make everyone dress up as they choose, or even set a more specific theme, like the 70's. Whatever you choose your theme to be for you Halloween party, make sure it is something that your guests would be willing to do so you get the biggest turn out for your event.

Create a guest list of people you would like to invite. You may choose to have it a neighborhood party, or even just invite friends and family members. You can plan on getting about a 75% turn out, so make sure that you invite plenty of people to make it a joyous occasion.

Decide on a budget for your party. You want to make sure you have enough food, decorations and other items for your party, but make sure it isn't going to break the bank. If money is tight, consider asking your guests to bring a food item to the party to help offset the costs.

Send out the invitations for your Halloween party. You can create your own if you feel creative, and you can find a lot of different patterns online. Let them know of your intentions of the party, and whether to bring food, or even dress up in a costume for your party.

Purchase supplies for your party. You will want to make sure you have decorations, food, paper goods, disposable cameras, as well as music even games and prizes if you choose. This is something you will want to purchase in the week before the event.

Set up and enjoy your party. Some suggested games for a Halloween party would include bobbing for apples, or even playing with Tarot cards. Your guests will love your party so much, that you may even choose to make it an annual event!
