A little planning for the big game will help make your Super Bowl party a success. The number one tip is to keep it simple. You don't need to go overboard with fancy decorations or food. There will be lots of excitement and probably more than one beverage spilled. There's no need to go to a great deal of trouble, after all the focus will be on the game.
Some decoration would be a nice touch. Cups, napkins, paper plates in your teams' favorite colors is an easy way to get into the game without too much fuss. Show team spirit by wearing either NFL merchandise or their colors. Encourage your guests to dress this way too. How many places can you wear that jersey anyway?
Food to serve would include anything easy. Finger foods are a great choice. It's not messy, and you won't need to worry with utensils. Chips and salsa are always a crowd pleaser and very simple. Sandwich trays from your favorite eatery is sure to be devoured quickly. Another great choice is pizza. This one is the easiest of all since it comes straight to your front door. The key is to not let food preparation take most of your time. You need to enjoy the game and the marathon pregame as well. If guests want to bring something have a list ready and give the assignments.
Since this is the biggest game of the year for football, it's bound to have very heated moments. Secure anything breakable or valuable before the guest arrive. Tempers may become heated especially over a poorly called by the referees. Consider buying some sponge "bad call" bricks for your guests to throw at the television. If you can find any buy regular sponges and some red dye.
Viewing the Super Bowl on a big screen is the way to go. The bigger the better. If your TV is not humongous, consider renting one for the festivities. There are plenty of establishments that have rental televisions. Check as early as possible and secure yours. Having a huge setup will surely attract friends to your Super Bowl party.
The Super Bowl party is one of the biggest parties you will give all year. It can be special with just a little planning and little hassle.
