Where to Get Tickets for the Free Bon Jovi Concert in New York's Central Park

J. Motes
According to a press release issued by Bank of America on June 30th, the company will be sponsoring a free Bon Jovi Concert in New York's City. Other sponsors of the concert will be Major League Baseball and the New York Yankees. Tickets will be available at Yankee Stadium, online at mlb.com, and other smaller ballparks in the New York City area. Those seeking tickets should be advised to get their early as these tickets will probably go very quickly.

The press release further states that the free Bon Jovi concert will be offered as part of the MLB All-Star game. The MLB All-Star game will be played at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday July 15 at 7:30 PM according to www.mlb.com.

The game will be broadcast on FOX per www.mlb.com. The game will be a historic event as Yankee Stadium will no longer be used after this season, making this the last All-Star game to be played in the House That Ruth Built. The new stadium is being built nearby and will continue to be known as Yankee Stadium.

Free concerts in Central Park are also historic events in New York City. Performers from Elton John to Garth Brooks have performed in the park in the past. Central Park is a landmark to New Yorkers due to its large size and its role of a 'natural' area for those living in the urban jungle. Central Park has quite an interesting history from its use during the Civil War to the widely remembered Central Park Rapist case.

Bon Jovi is a long lasting band (charting songs for over 20 years) fronted by Jon Bon Jovi. Some of the band's more familiar hits from over the years include: "You Give Love a Bad Name", "Wanted Dead or Alive", "Livin' On a Prayer", and "It's My Life". Bon Jovi is reported to be an entertaining band in live performances.

Free concerts like this are use by large corporations to maintain a positive image in the public's eye and to further promote their products. Bank of America has had its share of bad press in the recent years concerning the arrest of Matthew Shinnick and the bank's plans to allow Illegal Aliens to obtain bank accounts. For more information on the Shinnick arrest from the SFGate (San Francisco Chronicle) follow this link: www.mlb.com. The game will be broadcast on FOX per www.mlb.com. The game will be a historic event as Yankee Stadium will no longer be used after this season, making this the last All-Star game to be played in the House That Ruth Built. The new stadium is being built nearby and will continue to be known as Yankee Stadium.http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2006/08/30/BUGTGKRHSF1.DTL&type=tech. Oops, the last paragraph of the article got jumbled from my screen to AC. Sorry about that.
Check out the links to SFGate for info on Shinnick, and snopes.com to the illegal alien bank accounts.
