Everything You Need to Know to Make a Tissue Paper Stained Glass Christmas Tree Craft for Kids
Materials Needed for Tissue Paper Stained Glass Christmas Tree Craft
Clear Contact paper
Green tissue paper
Assorted colors of tissue paper
Green glitter
Scissors
Black Sharpie marker
Yarn
Hole punch
Directions on How to Make a Tissue Paper Stained Glass Christmas Tree Craft
1. Cut the green tissue paper into squares and set aside.
2. Cut the assorted colored tissue paper into circle and star shapes and set aside.
3. Cut two equal sizes of Contact paper.
4. Carefully peel the paper backing off of one side of clear Contact paper.
5. Place the Contact paper on a flat surface with the sticky side up.
6. Randomly stick several squares of green tissue on the sticky side of the Contact paper.
7. Place the colored squares and stars in the spaces between the squares of green tissue paper, overlapping some of the squares.
8. Sprinkle green glitter all over the sticky side of the clear Contact paper and set aside.
9. Take the other piece of clear Contact paper and carefully peel the paper backing off.
10. Place the second piece of contact paper over the first piece of tissue paper covered Contact paper by starting at the top corner and using your hand to smooth the Contact paper out as it goes down.
11. Fold the contact paper in half and draw one half of a Christmas tree shape on the fold.
12. Take the scissors and cut the Christmas tree shape out.
13. Unfold.
14. Cut a small piece of yarn.
15. Punch a hole for hanging at the very top of the tissue paper stained glass Christmas tree.
16. Poke the piece of yarn through the hole and knot to make a loop for hanging/
17. Display in a window that has natural sunlight hitting it sometime during the day.
