Our towels are made from various kinds of materials. These materials may even have different characteristics that may or may not make your towels fluffy again. One of the most commonly used materials for towels in the terry cloth. The terry cloth is made from woven loom. It can be added with thread to create loops of materials known as the pile. Another famous material that is used for towels is the velour. With velour, the pile is shared on only one side. This is to create decorative shiny surface for the towels. There are towels made with embellishments and embroidery to make it much fluffier to look at. However, if your towel is already worn out with thin layers and holes, then you just have to dispose it as there would no be other way to make it fluffy again.
For your towels to become fluffy again with the use of easy and fast ways, make sure that your towel is of high quality when purchased. Cotton-made towels are proven to last a lifetime and easy to care for. Towels that are made from combined fibers are not durable. They worn out easily and rapidly. Also, towels made with combined fibers are not good for the skin. It would only cause your skin to dry and sometimes may even cause irritation. As a recommendation, it would be best to purchase towels with high quality because of its durability and sturdier construction.
Part of the process of making your towels fluffy again is the common problem of colors. Old towels usually have dull colors. However, it is not recommended to dye your old towels because it will cause stiffness. Moreover, if your towels have light or white colors, you need to do a separate washing to it. It would be best to use lemon juice for white towels instead of bleach when washing since there are some bleach that strongly damage the fabric.
In the long run of use, old towels become less absorbent and sometimes give the crackly feeling whenever used. One reason for this is because of excessive use of detergent or hard water. The solution to lack of absorbency is fabric softener. To eliminate odor from your old towel, you can use vinegar or baking soda. If your towels are being washed via washing machine, do not overfill the water inside the washer. This is to evenly wash the towels.
