Losing weight is a difficult journey. Luckily, this journey can be made easier by tracking your weight loss progress. Monitoring your weight loss through out your journey is a great way to stay focused and motivated to continue to lose weight. Keeping track of your weight loss journey will also help you visualise just how far you have come and how much further you have to go. But how exactly do you track weight loss? Learn how to track weight loss progress and stay motivated!

Photo Journal
Many people enjoy creating a weight loss photo journal to track their weight loss journey. To do this, simply use a blank photo album. Take a photo of yourself at the beginning of your weight loss journey. Continue to take a photo every month or every couple weeks, depending on how comfortable you feel doing it. Place each photo in your weight loss album and label it with your current weight.

Weight Loss Journal
There are many ways you can keep a weight loss journal. One way is to simply write about what you are going through and the changes you have made through out your journey. This will help you reflect and keep track of your experience to a healthier lifestyle.

Another way you can track weight loss in a journal is to weigh yourself every other week and create a chart. Record your weight on the chart to help you see just how well you are doing on your journey. You can also include your waist measurements in the journal to see how you have become thinner through out your journey.

Weight Loss Blog
You can also track your weight loss journey online with a free blog. Many online sites offer free blogs. If you sign up for one of these blogs, you can write about and track your weight loss online to share with friend or family. You can also set the blog to private so it is just a place for you to share your experiences.

Weight Loss Buddy
Loosing weight is always easier when you have a buddy to do it with. Find a good friend or member of your family to join you on your weight loss journey. Together, pick any of the methods above, or a combination of the methods to assist you on your journey. You can compare your journals or blogs with one another to see how well you are doing. By doing this you can offer one another support, advice, and motivation to continue on your journey ahead of you.

Go Shopping
In this economy going shopping may be easier said than done. But if you can financially swing it go shopping every couple months. This will help you stay focused and keep track of your weight loss progress because as you but new clothes (once your old clothes become too small) you will see how many sizes you have dropped. You can even buy an outfit in your goal size for motivation.

All of these methods are great to use when tracking weight loss progress. You can even combine two or more of the methods for full focus and motivation. Just remember, no matter how hard it may be to lose weight, hang in there and keep going. Keeping track of your weight loss may be just the thing to keep you on a straight path to a healthier you.
