Step 2
Download & install Calibre for free, Windows or Mac at: http://calibre-ebook.com/
Step 3
Download & install Stanza for your iPhone. You can get it for free in the Apple App Store.
Step 4
If you don't already have an Ebook on your computer, purchase an Ebook from the internet, or you can figure out how to get them for free.
Step 5
Launch Stanza Desktop on your Windows or Mac.
Step 6
Open your Ebook in Stanza Desktop by clicking "File" and then "Open File". Go to the location of your Ebook and click "Open". Once you have the Ebook loaded on Stanza Desktop, click "View" and then scroll down and click "Book Info" and change the Ebooks information the way you want the info to appear on your iPhone for example: Title: The Secret Law of Unlimited Mind Power
Step 7
You need to convert the book in Epub format. It can easily be done on Stanza Desktop. Just click "File", scroll down a little bit and click "Export Book As", then another drop down menu will appear, click "epub". Then save it in your desired location.
Step 8
Launch Calibre on your Windows or Mac. Drag your ebook in it's epub format into the empty field in the Calibre menu.
Step 9
With your epub formatted ebook added in Calibre, highlight it in Calibre and press the letter "E" on your keyboard. An Edit Meta Information window should appear. Click the "Fetch meta data from the server" button. Once Calibre finds the proper Meta info, click the button "Download Cover". Click "OK". Even if it couldn't find the proper "meta data", proceed with the steps & you should still be able to transfer the ebook to your iphone.
Step 10
Now it is time to transfer the ebook on your Stanza app on your iPhone. To do this, go to Calibre and click the "Preferences" icon with the picture of a hammer on the top right of the Calibre window. Once in the "Preferences" window click on the "Content Server" icon on the right side. Then click the button that says.
Step 11
Make sure your Windows or Mac computer is on the same WiFi network as your iPhone. Launch Stanza on your iPhone and click the "Get Books" icon on the bottom. Click the "Shared" tab on the top, and you should see a header labeled "Computers Sharing Books", under it should say "Books in Calibre (your computer description)". Click on the "Books in Calibre(your comp.)" field.
Step 12
Then there should be a list containg "By Author", "By Title" and so on. Click any one of those. Then you should see your ebook.
Step 13
Then you should see your ebook. Click on it, then click on the icon with an arrow pointing down on a book, located on the top right. You will be prompted to confirm download. Click the red "Download" button and you should now have it in your Stanza library. It's a lot of steps to do such a simple task but this is the only way I know how to successfully transfer ebooks on my Apple iPhone. All the other ways didn't work for me.
