How to Translate Text with Google Translate

Life
The internet is filled with billions of websites with valuable information from all over the world. This presents a problem for those who do not speak the language presented on a given website. Luckily, this problem can easily be conquered thanks to Google's free translation tool.

Google Translate is a free service offered by Google that can be used to translate any sort of text, document, or whole web pages into a particular language. At the time of writing this article, there are over 50 different languages that you can translate.

For example, one could use Google translate and copy some English text and translate it into French with the simple click of a button. This is a very handy service and what makes it even better is that it does not cost a dime.

How to use Google Translate

This is a very easy tool to use, much like all of Google's other free tools.

The first step you must take in order to use this free service is to visit the Google Translate homepage, which can be found at http://translate.google.com/

Copy (control + c) and paste (control + v) any text into the text box that Google has provided for you on the homepage. Next, you want to choose the language that you are translating from, and the language that you wish to translate into.

I want to translate the following sentence from English to Spanish: Google Translate is a very useful tool.

To do this I would simply choose Translate from: English and Translate into: Spanish. After I have done that I will click translate and see that Google has almost instantly translated my sentence into: Traductor Google es una herramienta muy Ăștil.

If you turn on instant translation at the bottom of the page, you can see the translation in real-time, which can save time.

If you wish to translate an entire webpage, simply paste the URL in the text box provided, choose your desired translation languages, and click translate. If you wish to translate a document, simply click the link 'upload a document' directly above the text box. Then you can click browse, choose your document, click open, and click translate.

That is all there is to the Google Translate tool - the simplicity of this tool makes it much more preferable to other translation software alternative.
