WHAT IS ACNE?

Acne is an inflammatory disease that is usually found on the areas of the skin were the oil producing glands are located such as the face, upper neck, chest, or back. Although acne is found mostly in adolescents, adults can also develop this skin disease. There are many natural acne treatments available.

CAUSES OF ACNE

Many factors can add to the development of acne including:

1) Changes in hormone levels due to puberty, menstrual cycles, menopause, pregnancy, or steroid use.
2) Diets rich in sugar, caffeine, chocolate, fried foods, sodas, milk or milk products, salty foods, or processed foods.
3) An Over-loaded liver is unable to filter out toxins that can cause acne.
4) Bacteria in the pores of the skin can occur if the skin is not kept clean.
5)Genetics can play a role in the development of acne. Although this may be created by the fact that members of the same family tend to eat similar foods.
6) Stress can affect our entire bodies, including our abilities to ward off acne.

NATURAL REMEDIES FOR THE TREATMENT OF ACNE

3) Make a paste out of baking soda and water. Gently clean the acne area with the paste and then rinse. This helps keep the area clean.
