How to Make a Truly Homemade Soup

Nancy Austin
First off, don't open a can of anything. Truly homemade means authentic. You can follow a recipe or make it up as you go along, but the ingredients must be one hundred percent. Real food is all about real ingredients or it's just processed even if it's just partially processed.

What do you need in order to make up the liquid part which essentially makes this a soup? Water is what the doctor ordered for these icky sticky times when canned soups may be full of artificial goop. When you think homemade soup think from nature. Peel and slice some potatoes. Remove the tough ends from asparagus and simple include the tops of the stalks. Chop up carrots and broccoli. Don't forget the tomato. You can add onions, yellow or green. Garlic is nice for a long life. Throw in fresh herbs such as basil, cilantro, chives and even a little parsley. This is all natural soup and it qualifies as homemade and homegrown as well if you wish.

The steam is delightful and excellent for opening the doorway to clear breathing. Homemade vegetable soup is simply full of life giving forces which your body needs in order to thrive. Fall in love with the aroma. Lift your spirit. Open the kitchen windows and let some of the feel good out as you're going to have plenty to spare. Sing and dance while you cook. Forget the pressures of a high profile society. Add what you will as long as your ingredients come from god. Your own recipe should come from within.

Make as little or as much as your heart desires and your heart will be filled with desire. Consider the healthy ingredients your family members thrive on. For some households this may mean more or less of any single ingredient. Share with neighbors and friends. Make the soup as a family or get the community involved. However, you slice it, soup's on, you all.
