How to Turn a Cake Tray into a Mouse Pad

First, I used art glue to stick scraps of material on the surface of the cake tray.

I then covered it with strips of cellophane tape from end to end.

Voila! A perfectly usable mouse pad!

Just be careful to ensure there are no ridges on the surface caused by air bubbles trapped under the cellophane tape.

A good way to avoid this is use a long ruler to "flatten" any eneven spots.
