How to Turn Puppy Love into Profits!

Looking for the Perfect Work-at-home Business? Why Not Consider Dog Breeding? Its Profitable, Fun and Easy... If You Know How

Dr Meg
In a former life I worked in a high pressure job doing crazy hours as a Veterinarian. As my family grew (I now have 4 children) the hours away from home combined with the stress took an increasingly heavier toll on my home life. I dreamed of being able to stay at home and spend more time just being a Mom, but faced a formidable barrier - I still needed to bring in a reasonable income to make ends meet. How could I be financially free, and still have lots of free time for the important things in life?

What I needed was a work from home business that only demanded low, flexible hours, was fun and rewarding, and brought in a nice cash income. Too much to hope for? I thought so at first, but then 16 years ago I found the solution - why not turn my passion for pets into profit? Why not breed pedigree dogs!?

Now, before you rush off on your own dog breeding adventure, listen up - there is good news and bad news you should know about.

The bad news is that there are definitely traps for the inexperienced in this business. (They are all described in my free e-newsletter series "12 Secrets of Successful Dog Breeding that Most People Get Wrong!"). Over the years I have - even with my professional knowledge - fallen into many of these traps, and missed a lot of potential income along the way.

The good news is that the pitfalls can be avoided with the right planning and management. Over the years I've found ways around them all, and have now developed a profitable dog breeding system that runs like a well-oiled machine: easily, ethically, and profitably. Now, with just 2 breeding bitches, I have made $26,000 over the past 12 months.... Cash!

Can anyone repeat my success? Yes, I reckon that virtually anyone can successfully run a dog breeding business on two provisos: first, they need to be genuine dog lovers, obviously! And second, they should learn the ropes from an experienced breeder. If you are the first, I can definitely help you with the second. Its not rocket science, just straightforward know-how that makes the crucial difference between success and failure.

With just a few dogs and the right information, I have created a brilliant work at home lifestyle, and you can too!

If I read "better the breed" one more time I'm going to stick pins in my eyes. Dog breeding is a 24/7 job best done by those who don't have to rush off to a 9-5 Mon - Fri. You can't take care of litters of puppies, house train them, keep a close eye on the pregnant dams and whatnot if you can't be at home to do so! Of course you should be able to make money at whatever profession you choose. Maybe not a lot of money but who asks the veterinarian to work for free? Figuring out how to make money doing what you love is a good thing. Take care of the animals in your charge but know that there's nothing at all wrong with getting paid to do so.

Dogs aren't made for money. I wonder how many of your puppies are sitting in shelters right now?

Absolutely correct, Sarah.....this sounds like the recipe for a puppymill. Perhaps the good doctor should check out this website http://www.prisonersofgreed.org/Commercial-kennel-facts.html

Breeding is supposed to be about continuing and improving the breed, not solely about profits. Whether intentional or not, you're promoting overbreeding dogs (not healthy) and possibly even puppy mills (illegal). Is that really what you want to do?
