The joy to be found in self-pity isn't too rewarding. There comes a time when it's good to find out how to turn self-pity into self-confidence.

Self Pity Is...

Self-pity is a rationalization for justifying the way you feel. Self- pity, gives you the reasons that you need to feel sorry for yourself. Self-pity allows you to say," oh look at me, I'm so miserable and I have good reason to be miserable. You take the reasons that you're miserable and tell them to anybody who will listen. And, if nobody will listen, you tell your reasons to your self to make yourself feel better.

Self Pity And Self Confidence

They say that misery loves company but what if you took the joy in self-pity and turned it into self-confidence. Now, that would be a powerful thing.

Imagine The Possibilities

Imagine, all of your self-pity turned into self-confidence. Imagine what you could accomplish. The possibilities are endless when you turn self-pity into self-confidence. Imagine the possibilities. It boggles the imagination.

Faith

When you have self-confidence, you know, that you can do what you set out to do. It's not only that you have the faith in your self, that you can do it, it's that you know in your heart, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you can do it.

Self Confidence

You can always tell when a person has self-confidence because it shines through in everything they do. When you have self-confidence, you look differently, talk differently, act differently, and walk differently.

Swagger

When you have self-confidence, you have swagger in your step. You have certainty in the way you talk, you are always in the upright position, and you have a glimmer in your eyes that says," I know who I am and where I'm going."

Failure

People that have self-confidence know that they will experience failure and they know that failure is part of life and the learning process.

Self Pity

When you live in self-pity; failure is the end of the world. The world comes crashing down all around you and it feels like life has ended.

Role-Play Self Confidence

One of the things that you can do when your alone and stuck in self-pity, is role-play self confidence. Stand the way you would and talk the way you would if you had things going your way in life.

Recognize Self Confidence

When you role-play self confidence, you start to recognize what self-confidence feels like, sounds like, and looks like.

Turning Self Pity Into Self Confidence

Role-playing self-confidence is a vital part in turning self-pity into self-confidence.

Courage And Wisdom

After you start to recognize what self-confidence feels like, looks like, and sounds like; you can start to see where you can insert it into different aspects of your life. As you try the self-confidence hat on in different areas of your life, you gain the courage and the wisdom to have self-confidence.

Self Confidence Shine

After a while, if you continue this process, your self-confidence starts to shine through in different areas of your life.

Self Pity Into Self Confidence

One day you wake up and realize; viola, you've been able to turn your self-pity into self-confidence.

    Very nice points! We all feel self-pity or self-doubt at times, and it's good to remember to try to channel that energy into confidence instead. :o)
