How to Make TV Themed Party Invitations

Entertainment fans have numerous options for custom party invitations that are inexpensive. Men and women hosting a Celebrity or Hollywood themed celebration will find these TV party invitations useful. Here are instructions to make twelve homemade TV theme party invitations. Use more or less sheets of paper depending on the amount of guests invited to your party.

Materials for TV Theme Party Invitations:
The supplies list for making TV theme party invitations is very small. Collect one bottle of school glue, a pair of scissors, one pencil and a ruler to make these homemade party invitations. Purchase six sheets of black construction paper and white unlined paper along with Popsicle sticks or colorful pipe cleaners. You will also need 50 small plastic buttons that vary in size. Using old clothing buttons from around your house can help to save between $5 and $8 on your TV theme party invitations.

Instructions to make TV Theme Party Invitations: Cut out rounded edge squares from your black construction paper to use as the TV screen. One sheet of black construction paper is enough to make screens for two homemade party invitations. Measure the TV screens with your ruler and cut out a square border for each screen using your white notebook paper. The border should be at least ½ inch wide on the top and both sides to cover your TV screens. Make each border wider on the bottom end to make room for your TV knobs.

Center the border over each screen until it covers all sides evenly. Trace the inside of your borders onto the black screens on these TV theme party invitations. Remove the borders for your invitations and set them aside temporarily. Glue all four sides of each TV screen on the outer edges of your traced lines. Do not place the glue on top of these lines, as that will cause it to smear and be visible even after the border is placed on top.

Press the borders down on all TV screens gently to attach these items. Write your party information on each screen, inside the border after the glue dries on these invitations. Layout five plastic buttons along the bottom side of each border on your party invitations. Try to make two matching color pairs for four buttons in each set. Glue the largest button on the far end of the border to make a "power" knob.

Glue one set of matching (or near matching) buttons about one quarter of an inch away from the power button to make your "volume" knobs. Repeat this process by gluing the remaining set of buttons next to your volume controls to create "channel" knobs. Wait for your buttons to dry and then glue two Popsicle sticks on the back. These sticks are displayed as antennas for your TV theme party invitations. Pipe cleaners can be used as a substitute for Popsicle sticks if you want more flexibility to adjust the "antennas" on the invitations.
