For many couples, cutting costs is one reason for a Las Vegas wedding. Most often, doing it yourself is very cost effective within the realm of the entire wedding expense.
If you choose to make your own silk flower wedding needs, allow yourself enough time to decide upon your choice of flowers and put them together as you wish. A great look of your very own style can make your entire wedding fun and very special. It will cost you some time and effort, but will be worthwhile and rewarding on your wedding day.

Hints and helps to make your own Vegas style wedding boutonnieres.
After you've chosen your wedding colors, shop early for flowers that will enhance your wedding theme.
Be picky as you don't want boutonniere or corsage flowers that are too big, but you do want them to be showy. You probably will want to mix or match them with your wedding colors. Often, the groom's boutonniere is just a bit different than others. Perhaps it would be a different flower or you could use a different color choice. Also, decide how many you will need to make. If in doubt, make an extra.
1. Select playing cards you will use for the boutonnieres.
2. Minimize card size to about 1 inch - or as small as you wish for boutonniere and copy.
3. Trim around copied cards.
4. Cut flower with stem about 2 inches in length. [If you don't have enough stem length, add floral wire to tip of stem.]
5. Attach cards to floral wire and attach to boutonniere.
6. Wind floral tape around stem, being sure to cover all wire.
7. Smooth floral tape and snip.
8. Stick beaded pin through stem - it will enable attachment at time of wedding.
Any other Vegas trinkets of your choice could be attached. They could also be added to bouquets by adding directly to bouquet or by attaching to ribbon that would fall from bouquet.
