How to Unlock the Apple iPhone in 30 Minutes

Unlocked phones, such as the Apple iPhone, give you more freedom and versatility, and enable you to use it with any sim card. When the Apple iPhone was released, many people thought you had to switch to AT&T to be able to use it. However, you can unlock the iPhone in approximately 30 short minutes. 1. Check your firmware. This can be done by dialing *300112345#*. This number will count as an emergency number, so you can dial it even if you do not have service. The firmware version should be 03.14.08._G.

- If this is the firmware version, you can continue to Step 2.

- If the firmware is 04.01.13._G, you will have the system update and you will not be able to unlock your phone with these instructions.

2. Once you confirmed your firmware version, you will need to download iTunes version 7.3.2 and iBrickr to your computer. You will need this specific version of iTunes. Do a Google search to make sure you get the correct version. After downloading the programs, extract all files to your hard drive.

3. Now you need to attach your iPhone to the computer with a USB cable. Open the iBrickr program and follow the onscreen installation instructions.

4. Now you need to click the Sweet button on iBrickr to see a screen on your phone. You should see 4 options on this screen: Ringtones, Sounds, Applications, and Files. If you do not see this on your screen, click F5 to refresh your Internet connection.

5. Now you need to download the lockdownd from your computer to your iPhone with the use of the iBrickr software. You will need to find /user/libexec on the right side of the screen and click Upload. Select the file Lockdownd. Go back 2 screens using the Up button. Look for the /var/root/Library/Lockdown/ entry and click it. Now you need to upload data_ark.plist, device_public_key.pem, and device-private-key.pem. Click Yes to overwrite the files on your iPhone.

6. Go back to the iBrickr main page and click Applications. Follow the onscreen instructions to proceed. After doing this, do a soft reboot and click Installer.

7. Now you need to connect to the Internet and select Update to run all new updates on your iPhone. Once you return to the home screen, you will need to install Community Sources.

8. Go back to the iBrickr program and click Browse Applications. Go to anySIM to install it.

9. Now you need to navigate to Settings, General and then Autolock. Set the Autolock to Never. Go to the home screen and go to anySIM. Slide the bar over to unlock. Select the red button to continue.

Now, you can use any SIM on your iPhone.
