Penny Richards
Software developer Microsoft released Windows Live OneCare as an integrated suite of computer security software designed to protect your Windows system from security threats. The Microsoft Windows Live OneCare product includes a built-in antivirus and firewall program, as well as Windows performance enhancers, automated backup services and more. In this computer and technology article, I will show you how to update Microsoft Windows Live OneCare to protect your Windows PC from viruses and hackers and keep the entire computer running error-free.

First, you will need to obtain a copy of Windows Live OneCare. You may purchase, download and install a copy of Windows Live OneCare from the official Microsoft OneCare website. You can also purchase Microsoft Windows Live OneCare from your local computer store, or a computer megastore such as Best Buy or Fry's Electronics.

Launch the Windows Live OneCare software suite by double-clicking its icon. Then, click the Subscribe button in the Windows Live OneCare screen. You will need to enter your Windows Live ID (a free account provided by Microsoft) to complete the installation process. Depending on the speed of your computer's central processing unit (CPU), the installation process can take half an hour.

To update Windows Live OneCare for free, simply click Check for Updates in the main screen of Windows Live OneCare. Windows OneCare will pull a list of updates from Microsoft, including the latest virus listings and security threats for the antivirus and firewall programs. Keep Windows Live OneCare updated constantly to maintain the highest level of protection for your personal computer. Updating Windows Live OneCare is easy and should be run daily.
