Don't Pay for What You Can Get Free

Before I tell you how to upgrade or even just download and install your drivers for you computer, let me explain what they are. A computer driver is a piece of software that allows your hardware to run correctly and communicate with each other. Without these drivers, Your computer will not be able to talk to it's hardware, and your hardware wont function correctly. Drivers are needed for Video, Sound, and Bios Readings as well as any other peripheral devices. DO not let your computer go without these drivers or else you will rip your hair out trying to get hardware to run.

I will lest a short number of steps that you should follow in order to get your drivers to run your hardware. These steps are easy to follow and they do not take long to finish.

#1
Find out what drivers you need. This can be done by doing one of two things. The first way is automatic, your computer will simply have a small pop up that tells you which driver you need to find. Make sure to write this driver down so you can find it on the vast source of the Internet or on a CD bought with the item. The second way would be to use your Device Manager on your computer. This can be found by right clicking on My Computer, clicking on Properties, Going to the Hardware tab, and clicking on the Device Manager. Any of the Drivers that have not been installed correctly will be found with a yellow question mark (?).

#2
If your drivers are on your motherboard (sound and video usually unless you have installed other cards for them), you will need to find out what type of motherboard you have. This can be done two ways as well. The first way would be to open your computer tower and find the type of motherboard you have. Another way to find the type of motherboard would be to go into your bios settings and locate the motherboard type through simple menus. This will be different depending on your motherboard type so there are no concrete steps to it.

#3
Find these drivers on the vast Internet or use the CD that came with your hardware. It's easy to find most drivers online for free. Do not download software that scans your computer to find these drivers because they will most likely ask you to purchase the software to update. If you need to find your Intel Drivers for example, just search your "Intel Drivers" and your driver type. It will lead you to your motherboard website which will allow you to download these drivers free.

Downloading these drivers will allow you to have a much better experience with your computer and might also give you updates you did not even know were available for you to get.
