1. Connect your Zune to your computer using the USB cord that comes in the box. Once connected a box will pop up that allows you to install the Zune software. You want to install this so allow the computer to do so.
2. Once you have the Zune software installed, it will search your computer for your music. It gives you the option to sync all of the music on your PC to your Zune or for you to pick and choose which tracks you would like to add. Personally, I like to have more control over things so I selected the option to pick and choose. You can select whichever option you would like.
3. Now we have to start organizing your music. this is called tagging. What tagging does is puts the artist and album information with the song. When your songs are tagged this organizes them in your Zune to make them easy to find and listen to. Look for the boxes on the screen that don't have the album cover in them. These are the songs that need tagged.
4. Place your cursor on the box that is blank and right click. Your choices will appear on your screen. Choose "Find Album Info".
5. Once you click on "Find Album Info" the computer will search for the album information that pretains to that song. There are usually a few choices that come up, when they do you'll want to select the album and choose ok to add the information to the song.
6. Continue to do this until all of the songs you have are tagged. I know it can be time consuming, especially if you have a large music collection like I do. Believe me though it is well worth it though.
7. Next we are going to select what songs you want to place on your Zune. Click on the song it will highlight it.
8. When you've clicked on the song simply drag it down to the small icon in the bottom left corner that looks like your Zune.
9. Continue this process for each song you would like to add to the Zune MP3 player. Once you are finished simply unplug you Zune from your computer and you're ready to go.
Now that your music is added you can listen to any songs you like. It's easy to scroll through and choose whether you'd like to listen to certain albums or let the songs shuffle through at random.
