You will need:
Computer
Word program
Internet capability
Follow these steps:
Step 1:
Create your resume in a word program. You can also create it in a PDF format, but it is not the most accepted format. Whichever you decide to use, make sure you note the name of the file and its location so that you can find it later on.
Step 2:
Decide where you want to upload your resume. Some sites will have a form that they want you to copy and paste your resume in to. To do this, highlight your resume by pressing and holding your left mouse button until all of the resume is highlighted. Now let go and click "edit" from the top left menu bar. You will then see the word "copy". Click it. Then go to the space you want to paste your resume and click "edit" again and then "paste."
Step 3:
Click the "browse" button on websites that don't have a place for you to copy and paste your resume. The browse button will take you to your files. Search through your files until you find your resume. Click on it and then click "upload." Your resume will then be displayed in front of you.
Step 4:
Another option is to upload your resume through an email. This is the route to go if you already have an employer in mind and you want to apply for a job. Type their email address in the "to" section. Type "job application" in the subject section. Under the subject section you will be able to "attach a file." Click that and your browse button will appear. Click "browse" and then click on your resume file. Click "upload" and wait for the attachment to finish uploading. Type any messages you have in the body of the email and then submit it.
Tips:
Uploading your resume will save you paper and printer ink.
To copy you can also press control and c at the same time. To paste, press control and v at the same time.
Warnings:
Don't display your full address online for safety reasons. Your name and email address, and possibly state are enough. Potential employers can email you privately for the rest of the information if they like what they see in your resume.

I have attempted to upload my resume several times using your instructions. My computer keeps telling me I can't upload because my resume is not a format that is supported for uploading. It tells me I can upload with doc, docx, html, etc. which is the same ones the job website says is ok to use. What can I do?
