Do you have a mirror at home? If you do, there is no doubt you use it to do things such as brushing and flossing your teeth; brushing and combing your hair; buttoning a long-sleeved shirt; shaving; and accurately tying a tie. Why are you using the mirror to conduct your activities? You are probably doing it to see exactly what you are doing and do your activities more efficiently and quickly.

Besides, you have been conditioned to use this apparatus to carry out some of your personal habits. Have you thought about using it to help you in school? Just as it helps you carry out your daily routine efficiently, it can help you learn faster. You will gain insight on how using a mirror can help you learn material faster and do well in school.

It can help you see what you are doing when you use certain techniques to do various things. Do you have baseball or softball in gym class? If so, you should practice swinging a baseball bat or gripping and throwing a pitch in front of your mirror.

Do you play an instrument such as a piano, trumpet, trombone or guitar? If you do, your mirror can help you see if are doing everything you are supposed to do with your hands, arms and shoulders. As you have now discovered, this apparatus can help you spot and improve the techniques you are using to play sports and instruments.

Do you have a public speaking class or are you working in a position that involves giving a presentation? If so, you can benefit by talking to yourself while actually seeing what you are doing. Sure, you can gain something by rehearsing to yourself; however, you can go further by catching the movements and facial expressions you are using while you see your reflection.

Have you noticed how you see objects from different angles through a mirror? Well, you can take this approach while studying. While attending college, I learned to read the sentences from my notes and textbooks forward and backward and through as many different angles as I could. This is very important to do because test questions are often posed differently from the way your teachers and textbooks presented the material.

It allows you to read your lips. This can come in handy if you practicing for a choir class or learning to sing.

It can help you mentally. The more you see yourself, the more likely you are to gain confidence.

It can block out distractions. By continually seeing yourself study, you should easily maintain your focus.

You have learned how using a mirror can help you learn faster.
