How to Make Your Vacation More Enjoyable

Sarah Beth
First things first. Plan your vacation well in advance so that you get the best deals available. This will cut down on the financial stresses that come along with vacations.

When packing, consider taking only the items you will use or need while on vacation. This will be made easier by making a list and deleting anything that is not a MUST have. How many times have you ever worn everything you have taken on vacation? If you are like me, the answer is never. We are so worried about what we might need that we consume ourselves with worry and needless extra baggage. Stick to your list!

Before you leave for vacation handle all important business so that you will not be distracted from your time for relaxation. Remember, anything that was not taken care of will not magically disappear so make yourself just forget about it while on vacation. It can be taken care of when you return.

Go on vacation and enjoy yourself. Try to avoid schedules that seem to make us feel as if it is just another day at the office. Vacations should be spontaneous and relaxing. I know you want to see and do everything available, but remember this comes at a price. Happy vacationing to you all!!

TIPS

* Leave your hair dryer at home. Most hotels have them for you to use, but if not who cares, you are on vacation.

* Do not take work related items on vacation. (This will tempt you so it is best left at home)

* Try vacationing in areas that are not business oriented. Nature is very rewarding and relaxing.

WARNINGS

* Never give your work a number where you can be reached. This is a big NONO.

* Do not give in to your urge to pack extra just in case. Remember it is more work.
