Life can be difficult at times, and at other times it can be a breeze. When situations occur and times get tough we naturally start to feel the stress. Stress can be a good thing. It gets us moving. It makes us think. If we did not know what stress felt like then we would not know what relaxation felt like. On the same note, if we did not have bad days we would not so cherish our good days.
Regardless of the reason why you feel the stress the feeling is not pleasant. Many times when people start to feel stressed they get frustrated or even angry. Some begin to doubt themselves and end up feeling overwhelmed and depressed. Any way you look at it stress is something that needs to be dealt with at it's onset because if it is left to grow it will. Too much stress, or a buildup of stress is quite unhealthy.
There are many things that we can do when we are feeling stressed, and should do. Do the following to help yourself to relieve and vent some of the stress you may be feeling. Once the feeling of stress is gone the feeling of productivity has room to blossom. Productivity solves problems which takes away the source of the stress and alleviates it. One great way to relieve stress is to let it all come flowing out. Anger is one way that can happen, but certainly not the right way. There are other ways to let it flow that are much better. This is called venting. When someone vents the are letting their stress out.
Many people love to vent through writing poetry. Others find that they can vent through painting, drawing, and other forms of the arts. Writing is a very effective way to vent, especially when it is done journal style.
A journal is a way to vent that is safe. You can write anything. When people can write down what they are feeling inside they allow themselves to get it all out. They vent it onto the paper. After they are done many do find that what was once inside of them is now out, and on the paper. It makes people feel better. Journal writing can be very beneficial to those who are feeling stressed.
Physical activities such as walking, riding a bicycle, engaging in a sport, or even cleaning can also help greatly to reduce stress. When I am stressed to the max I often clean.
Taking a long, hot shower can also help to make people feel a lot better when the are stressed. Women often feel better after a soak in a bath full of bubbles and fragrance.
Calling a close friend or family member can also be a great stress reliever. Why? Well, because. When you are able to talk to someone about what you're feeling it will make you feel better.
