Victorian Candelabra Centerpiece
Supplies:
Gold candelabra
12 inch unframed round glass mirror
Mini faux fruit (5-7 pieces)
Paint brush
Q-tips
Gold paint
Gold glitter
Small ivory silk roses (8-12 roses)
Spray glue
1 yard gold beads
1 yard ivory beads
White glue
Directions:
1. The first step in making this Victorian candelabra wedding centerpiece will be decorating the fruit and silk roses. Make sure to decorate the flowers and fruit in a well ventilated room, and cover your work area with a small tarp or plastic bag.
2. Decorate one piece of fruit at a time. Pour a small amount of gold paint in an old bowl. Paint your first piece of fruit with the gold paint. Make sure all areas are covered. Let dry. Spray the fruit with the glue spray. Sprinkle the fruit with gold glitter. Gently shake the fruit to remove excess glitter. Repeat this step on the remaining pieces of fruit.
3. You will be using white glue and Q-tips for this step. Decorate one rose at a time. Pour a small amount white glue into an old bowl. Using the Q-tips, rub glue around the edges of each petal. Pour a small amount of gold glitter in a flat dish. Gently dip the rose in the glitter. Gently shake the rose to remove excess glitter. Put this rose aside until it is completely dried. Repeat this step for the remaining roses.
Assembling the Victorian Candelabra Wedding Centerpieces
1. Once you get to the wedding reception area, it is time to set up your Victorian candelabra wedding centerpieces. Tables covered in ivory silk tablecloths are a nice complement to the candelabra wedding centerpieces.
2. Place the round mirror on the center of the wedding table.
3. Place the candelabra centered on the mirror.
4. Place fruit and roses on the glass mirror, and around the stem of the candelabra. Make sure to evenly spread the fruit and roses around the mirror.
5. Weave the strings of gold and ivory beads throughout the mirror arrangement at the bottom of the Victorian candelabra wedding centerpiece.
