How to Make a Victorian Lace Parasol Bridal Bouquet

The Victorian parasol makes a beautiful alternative bouquet choice for a Victorian or country wedding. Supplies:

Lace parasol
Glue gun and glue sticks
7 yards of white pearls on a string and pink pearls on a string
6 yards of lace ribbon
Medium pink and burgundy roses (approximately 20 of each color)

Directions:

1. Glue one end of the lace ribbon to the top of the parasol handle. Carefully wrap the entire handle of the parasol with the lace ribbon. When you get to the end of the parasol handle, glue the lace ribbon to the back of the handle. Cut off excess lace ribbon. Glue a pink and burgundy rose to the middle of the handle.

2. Glue the beginning piece of the white string of pearls to the top of the Victorian lace parasol. Drape the pearls 3/4 of the way down the parasol, then loop back up and glue again to the top of the parasol. Repeat until there are 3 to 4 loops of white pearls draped and glued around the top of the parasol. Cut the string of pearls when the last loop is glued to the top of the parasol. Repeat this step by gluing the string of pink pearls on top of the white string of pearls.

3. Glue the white string of pearls to the bottom rim of the Victorian parasol. Slightly drape the pearls down the edge of the parasol, then loop back up and glue to the edge of the lace parasol. Repeat this step around the entire bottom edge of the Victorian parasol. Cut the string of white pearls when the last loop is glued to the edge of the parasol. Repeat this step by gluing the pink string of pearls on top of the white string of pearls.

4. Glue a pink rose and burgundy rose to the top of the Victorian lace parasol bridal bouquet. Then glue three roses to the inside of each pearl loop that was draped around the top of the Victorian parasol. You can glue two pink roses and one burgundy rose or reverse the color combination. Glue a rose on the top where each loop was glued around the edge of the lace parasol. The pattern I usually use is alternating one pink rose, then one burgundy rose around the edge of the parasol. You could also glue a pink rose and burgundy rose on the top of each loop instead of a single rose. The pattern choice can be decided by the bride.
