How Vinegar Can Detect Cervical Cancer

There is a new addition to the many versatile uses for 5% acetic acid table vinegar. This new technique using vinegar was developed at John Hopkins Medical Center and has since been endorsed by the World Health Organization. When brushed onto the cervix in less than 6 minutes, precancerous lesions show themselves. The vinegar changes there coloring to a whitish hue which is detectable by the human eye. Often these lesions can then be removed on the spot.

One quarter of a million women die yearly from cervical cancer. In undeveloped countries detection by medical equipment is not available or affordable to the average woman. This new method will provide an easily affordable life-saving technique. Women should note vinegar does not provide a cure, but an easy detection method.

Over the years vinegar has been promoted as an aid to lower high blood sugar, stop insect bites from itching, soothe sunburn, promote gleam and shine when used as a rinse for hair on both humans and pets. and as a cleaner for windows and mirrors. It has been touted as a method of removing skunk odor from anything or anyone being sprayed, It removes water lines from glass and porcelain such as vases, It successfully discourages flies and other insects when poured in a bag and hung on porches and in barns. It is used in marinades to tenderize meats, in water to keep egg whites solid while poaching and to keep egg shells from cracking when boiled. Used as a hand scrub vinegar removes stains and odors such as onion from hands.

Vinegar makes a good drain and garbage disposal refresher, and is great when used to clean the inside of microwaves and refrigerators. Vinegar will remove stubborn stains from plastic containers and persperation stains from clothing and many stains from various fibers. It will loosen decals, labels and price tags. It will remove most stains from linoleum and removes soap scum and mineral deposits where they appear. It will freshen and remove residue from water containers like steam irons and coffee makers. A small amount of vinegar in the water surrounding fresh cut flowers will preserve them for extended periods of time. Vinegar provides a wonderful wash for fresh fruits and vegetable to irradicate bacteria before peeling and or serving. It is also handy to clean windshield wipers with. My personal favorite cleaning use is to remove stuck gum from hair and other materials. Cautuin* Vinegar should not be used on marble as it can harm the appearance and integrity of the surface.

I use vinegar in salad dressings for potato salad, cole slaw and sliced cucumbers.
Garden Cucumbers with tomato wedges, sliced green, red or yellow sweet peppers, white or red onion slices, black olive slices and coarsely shredded green cabbage with 1 cup oil based Italian dressing, 1 cup water and 1/2 cup cider or balsamic vinegar with a little garlic parsley, black pepper and 1/4 cup sugar makes a refreshingly wonderful salad.

What other item so easily obtained can provide such service? Vinegar ranks right up ther with air and water. Okay so I've exaggerated slightly. Vinegar is however a progressive multi-purpose source of versatile, helpful and now life-saving uses.
