How to Visit the Fort Worth Cultural District in Texas

If you are interested in museums, the Fort Worth, Texas cultural district has some of the best in the country. All of the museums are within walking distance of one another. Our museums have something for every age group, from adults to children of all ages.

The Kimble Art Museum:
they has some of the best art in the country including, Cezanne,Matisse, Picasso, and pre-Columbian art, they also have traveling art shows.

The Modern Art Museum:
has collections of modern and contemporary art.

The Amon Carter Museum:
has alot of western art and sculptures Remington.

The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame:
has 153 women in the hall of fame from Annie Oakley to Dale Evens, they have art and exhibits and a hands-on area for children.

The Museum of Science and History: (also known as the childrens museum) is under construction, we will have a new bigger museum. It's a great place for families especially children of all ages, very hands-on. It will be completed in the fall of 2009. Connected to this museum is The Omni Theater Antimax Dome, they show all kinds of films in IMAX.

In this area is also the Amon Carter Exhibit hall and the cattle barns. These house several shows and conventions.

Casa Manana Theater:
Theater in-the-round has year round shows for adults and children. Wonderful holiday shows.

Stockshow and Rodeo:
Great time to be had for western fans. Large midway area. Cattle barns full of animals for viewing or up for auction. Rodeo has all your typical fair. Fun for all ages.
