With a simple blood test, your doctor can determine if you are, indeed, vitamin D deficit and, if so, provide a prescription for weekly vitamin D tablets. While vitamin and vitamin D3 can be purchased over the counter at your local drug store, it is always recommended that you first obtain approval from your doctor prior to beginning any type of supplemental vitamin therapy.
Diseases of the spine arise from a variety of health ailments and often worsen when we are in poor health and lack vitamin levels that are normal (Selzer 56). To promote nerve, bone and cerebral spinal fluid health, always consider diet and exercise a key part of your daily health. But, in addition, ask your doctor about vitamin D supplements as this may be the one vitamin supplement that saves your spinal column from further deterioration.
