Vodka infused tea tastes just like regular tea (with an added kick) and you can drink it in all the same ways one would drink non-alcoholic tea. A good vodka infused tea can be used to make iced sweet tea or can even be drank with milk and sugar.
Vodka infused tea not only tastes really good it also opens up an amazing array of possibilities for cocktail party ideas. If you have enough vodka tea on hand you can turn a cocktail party into a tea party or vice versa.
Imagine having a fun Friday night vodka tea themed tea party. Your guest can dress for high tea and you can serve the vodka infused tea in a nice shiny tea pot on a fancy silver tray. Throw in a few lumps of sugar and add finger sandwiches and crumpets to the menu and everyone can get a nice buzz on while drinking tea from the good china.
Alternatively you can use the vodka tea to make an amazingly strong alcoholic sweet tea by simply adding ice cubes, lemon and sugar. This can spice up any barbeque or party.
Vodka tea can also be used to make amazing tea martinis!
Just follow these simple directions and you can make your own homemade vodka infused tea.
How to make Vodka infused tea in 4 easy steps:
Step One: Buy a good vodka.
My advice is to get a good potato vodka. Potato vodka tends to be a little cleaner than regular grain vodka. I like to make my vodka teas with Luksusova Vodka (a really good reasonably priced Polish potato vodka). But I guess in a pinch any one could use a cheaper grain based vodka. I have made the tea with Stoli and even Smirnoff when I could not get my hands on a potato vodka.
Step Two: Pour the Vodka into a large mason jar and add the tea.
Use 1 tablespoon of tea for every 750 milliliters of vodka. The kind of tea you use is up to you. I usually like to make my vodka tea with Earl Grey. However green tea, mint tea and other teas work just as well.
Step Three: Set a side for at least 3 hours to infuse.
Step Four: Strain the tea leaves and store the tea infused vodka in a cool dark place until ready to use.
