Well obviously using an alarm clock is the number one thing to waking up on short rest. Waking up on short rest, or little sleep is a serious problem. Using an alarm clock is definitely the best thing to do, however, people always seem to turn off the alarm clock, or get up for a little bit and then go back to sleep. This of course totally defeats the purpose of using an alarm clock in itself. Alarm clocks can be used on just about any electronic computer, watch or even your new TV or stereo so they are all over the place and a common feature.
The first thing you want to do if you have to wake up on only a short rest, is that you are going to have to splash cold water on your face and drink coffee or a drink with caffeine in it as soon as possible. You should also take a cold shower if you got the guts to do it. If it is cold outside, go outside with just a little bit of clothing to jolt your self. Play loud music and keep it on, as well as engage in communication with another person as quick as possible. Waking up on short rest isn't easy, but you can do it.
Waking up on short rest is tough, so you should know that the best defense against it is going to sleep earlier. Try taking sleeping pills, or having a few drinks to put you to bed. Whatever it takes to get to sleep earlier then get to sleep, but if for some reason you have to get up the next morning early and have to get stay up late that night, then this is the guide for you.
In conclusion, staying up late and waking up early is tough and if you want to wake up on short rest for an important engagement then you will need to be dedicated to waking up. Waking up in the morning can be tough, especially on short rest. Use these tips and you should be ready to go in no time.
