2008 No Brainer Weight Loss Program

It all starts with the first step and I don't mean start walking although you will be doing that very soon. The hardest thing for anyone to do is to start by getting your mind right. You know what I absolutely know about all weight loss programs you have read about. I will tell you 99.9% of them work every time for anyone who follows it. The problem is if you aren't prepared mentally to be a person that lives a healthy lifestyle then it will not be a consistent effort. Here is what you need to lose weight: consistent activity on a day to day basis. I'm not talking about extreme activity or running marathons or doing an hour long DVD of circuit training or crazy judo like punching and kicking that will throw your back out. I suggest that you may lose all the weight you want to lose over a short period of time permanently.
I will start with two basic principles. These principles are not just ideas that I came up with. I am telling you about them because I have used them for my own dramatic weight loss. These two principals are not ancient Chinese secrets and most programs have a "suped-up" version of my program. You don't need all of the nonsense that these other programs will try to sell you. I will give you perfectly legitimate information in this article to help you lose immediate weight, live a healthier lifestyle, and provide hopefully more years for your life to be lived.

Principal #1 - You are what you eat. If you consume twinkies all of the time don't be shocked when your body becomes a soft, sponge like toxic mixture. If you eat ingredients that are not immediately used by your body for energy/fuel it will store the consumption as fat. The easiest way to explain what you eat and how much is the age old tracking method of Calorie counting. Your ability to lose weight is in direct proportion to how much you cut your weekly calorie intake. When I was 240 lbs I had to consume approximately 2200 calories per day to maintain my weight. The general rule of thumb is cutting your intake by 500 calories per day will decrease your weekly weight by one pound. To help speed up the process and help your body get healthy you must start some form of weekly exercise (consistent activity that stretches and uses your muscles for a positive result). What you eat is important and how much you eat and how many times a day you eat will be the determining factors of your metabolism. The more frequently you eat in small portions the more active your metabolism. I suggest you start by researching online what you may eat in calorie intake per day for your weight group. There are numerous free websites indexed in Google that provide that kind of information.

Principal # 2 - Consistent Activity. I chose walking because it was consistent and it was easy for me to do because I was so out of shape. Almost anyone can walk. I started my own 250 mile Walk Chart. My goal was to continue walking in 1,2, and 3 mile installments until I got to 250 miles. It helped so much in my progress to constantly track my miles walked. I knew that if I walked 250 miles it would definitely make a difference in my life. What a difference!

I weighed myself every morning and kept track of it with a FREE program I found online at http://www.soundtells.com/WeightTracker

Let me tell you - What gets measured gets done! By measuring myself every single day I knew that I couldn't get away with not following the program.

The last advice I can give you is keep a daily journal and track what you eat - you will start to find you don't like the pattern you see of your daily consumption. Start eating healthier, walk your miles every week, and it will happen for you like clock work. I lost between .5lbs to a 1 pound every single day of my program. But I followed my program consistently for 90 days. Ask any doctor and they will tell you (for much more money) that my directions are time honored and rock solid. Good luck and I wish you a great new year!
