.) First you need to separate your clothes, put all your whites in one pile then wash them in hot water, add your detergent add your bleach after the washer fill with water, and then add about a half of cup of liquid bleach, be careful with the bleach because to much will make holes in your clothes. Making sure not to stuff to many clothes in the washer. Clothes should be loose to flow freely they should be able to move around in the machine while washing, if you stuff them to tightly some of your clothes will not come out clean.
.) Next you can wash your colored clothes that you have separated, they should be washed in warm water with a detergent of your choice.
.) Next wash your dark clothes, you can wash whichever pile you like first, it doesn't have to be in this order as long as you have them separated, dark or black clothing should be washed in cold water that is so they won't fade, and also the reason why you wash them separate from the other clothes is because you don't want them to fade onto the other clothes while washing them.
.) You should have three different piles of clothes to wash and each pile is washed in a different water temperature,if you want to add bleach to your colors it "MUST BE A COLOR SAFE POWDER BLEACH" made for color clothes only.
.) You should add the laundry detergent to your wash before the wash cycle starts to ensure that your clothes will come out clean from start to finish, try not to add to much detergent because the suds will overflow and come out of the machine if you add to much, in that case you would need to rinse the clothes a lease twice to get out all the suds.
.) For your delicate clothes you should wash them on the gentle cycle for delicate clothes in warm water, for the heavy soiled , or greasy clothing use some stain remover made for clothing, and then let them soak for a while then, put some liquid detergent on the clothes before you wash them, let the soap soak into the clothes and then gently rub them together, wash these type of clothes in hot water.
.) When drying your clothes, and you don't want them to shrink put the dryer on medium or low, if you think something may shrink, you can also remove some items when its half way dry, like while its still kind of damp and hang them up because a lot of cotton material may shrink if in the dryer to long. You should fold your clothes when they're dry to prevent wrinkles, for your shirts they should be hanged on a hanger. When drying your clothes, all your shirts should be able to flow freely in the dryer to decrease wrinkles so, you don't have to spend a lot of time ironing the shirts. Put all your socks together as you fold the rest of your clothes.
All rinse cycles can be done in warm or cold water, except whites, they can also be rinse in hot water. Also check the labels on your clothes which will also tell you what setting you should use when washing your clothes so that they will come out clean and fresh. If you have wool suits, these usually need to be dry cleaned don't try to wash them or they may be damaged. Your silks will properly need to be dry cleaning as well, depending on what type of silk some can be hand washed using a mild soap, or some woolite.
