Making water bracelets are a lot of fun and girls of all ages really love these unique bracelets. They are quick and easy to make, as well as inexpensive. The water bracelets are clear plastic tubes filled with water, beads and glitter to add sparkle. The concept is similar to snow globes, except these are bracelets.

Materials

clear tubing (2 sizes)
a tooth pick
seed beads
2 or 3 colors of glitter
water and krazy glue

You will need 2 sizes of tubing. The smaller tubing fits inside the larger tubing, to form the bracelet. The clear tubing you will need is like the tubing used on pumps for fish tanks and fountains.

Directions

Cover a flat table or work surface with newspaper or plastic. Set out all of the materials you will need to make the bracelets. Start by cutting the larger sized tubing to fit the size of the child's wrist and big enough to fit over their hand. Than cut a piece of the smaller tubing about an inch long, this is how the bracelet will be held together and what stops the water from leaking out. Put a small amount of krazy glue around the outside of the smaller tubing and push it 1/2 way into the larger tubing on one end. Keeping both ends of the tubing upright, use a toothpick to pick up the seed beads and put the beads into the tube. Now add a pinch of glitter, you can even use several colors of glitter if you like. Place your finger over one end and fill with water leaving about an inch on each side. Do not fill the bracelet completely full, you want there to be room for movement inside. Now put a small amount of krazy glue on the last 1/2 of the small tube and push it all the way into the larger tube until both ends meet.

Allow the water bracelet to thoroughly dry. Once it has dried, give it a shake and watch the beads move back and forth. Now the water bracelet is ready to wear. Make 2 or 3 water bracelets, they look awesome worn together.

The next time your daughter has a slumber party, birthday party, etc., you can set up a craft area for making water bracelets. All of the girls can join in and help each other to make their own special water bracelets. Although it is highly recommended that an adult glue the bracelets together, since we all know how quickly krazy glue adheres. You wouldn't want the girls gluing themselves together!
