• Why is Water so important? The Human Brain contains 90 % water whereas the blood contains 83 per cent. Our Muscles consist of 75 per cent water and the water content in our bone is 22 per cent. This demonstrates that water comprises a major part of our human constitution.
• What are the benefits of water? It is interesting to note that water is primarily responsible for regulating body temperature. Understandably regulating our body temperature would mean a lot of other aspects. It helps in detoxifying out system, improving metabolism and enabling our organs to absorb the nutrients from what we eat. Water also plays a major role in providing moisture to our joints, our lungs and transporting nutrients and oxygen into our cells.
Water thus plays a vital role in the human body. I have listed below are some of the most commonly referred benefits of drinking water:
Helps in fat loss: Water helps in fat loss in two important ways. Firstly, water helps in flushing out the by-products of fat breakdown. Lack of water to dilute the body's waste products may lead to aliments like kidney stone. It also impairs the proper functioning of the liver. Secondly, some studies demonstrate that hunger and thirst occurs together, often confusing one for the other. When we feel dehydrated, we often feel hungry. This leads us to eat when our body is actually seeking fluid. Thus drinking more water can help prevent us from overeating which in turn helps us to lose fat.
Combat Common Ailments by drinking more water: Many common ailments in our modern lifestyle can be cured by taking proper quantity of water. It has been found that in many cases problems like fatigue, headaches, back paid may be caused because our body may feel dehydrated. It has also been found that lack of water in our body may also be the root cause for pain in the muscles and joints. Research demonstrates that when the skin is properly hydrated, it looks fresh and radiant. This happens because the water we intake helps in flushing out the toxins from our body and helps us relax our muscles as we perspire. On the other hand if our water intake is reduced, we end up having a dry mouth, producing less quantity of urine and feel dizzy and fatigued
Experts suggest that we must drink at 8 to 12 glasses of water in a day. Try it to feel the benefits.
