How to Wax Your Eyebrows

Eyebrow waxing is the cherry on top of the ice cream when it comes to trimming and plucking your brows. You should pluck or trim any brow hairs protruding from the brow, and then wax the upper portion of your brow and lower portion of the brow.

To start you off, get a professional eyebrow waxing kit. These kits can be a bit pricey, but it will be worth it. You can find an eyebrow waxing kit at your local multi-purpose store, beauty store, or drug store.

Step 1: Use a soft brow brush to brush your brow hairs in place. This will give you an idea of what all need to be done and where your natural brow line is.

Step 2: It is best to apply Witch Hazel to the brow area where you will be waxing because it will work as a numbing source. Beauty does not have to be painful all the time.

Step 3: Look at your brow and decide the shape you would like. Remember that a natural, healthy brow would allign with corner of your nose and should allign with the outter corner of your eye.

Step 4: Make sure you have read over all the instructions provided with your waxing kit.

Step 5: Dip an applicator into the wax and apply it to your brow in the shape you want your brow to be when you are finished. Make sure yo apply the wax in the direction of hair growth or you could end up having ingrown hairs.

Step 6: Apply a waxing strip over the wax while it is still warm. Allow the wax a couple minutes to cool, hold the skin tight, and with one quick movement remove the wax strip.

Step 7: You can remove the wax that is left on your skin after you have waxed by using a little olive oil. Simply put some olive oil on a paper towel and wipe over the wax.

Now you can give yourself some finishing touches if needed. If there are any stray hairs left over after waxing, do not wax those hairs again. Simply bring out your tweezers and remove any strays. Extra waxing can cause irritation to the skin. You have to remember that the skin around the eye area is very sensitive.

Do not wax several times in a week because it is not needed. You will need to wax about one time per two weeks. If you have really thick brows, you may have to wax in small groups so you do not lose your place and mess up the brow shaping.

And that is how you wax your brows!
