Walter Scheu
We are small time farmers, in the Triad region of North Carolina, with small time farmer cats, we raise and prepare our own cat food. Plus what they catch On the back 40. No doubt you want to give your cat ('s) the best possible Food and care, at the best price available. Caring for your cats and/or pet Means feeding them the very best RAW MEATY BONE diet you can. Cats select their foods by Smell. Contrary to some views cats are carnivores in nature. Just watch them Track, kill and often eat a mouse, mole, etc. CATS, as well ad other k-nines Like gamey smelly and/or tasting foods. Cats will eat freshly ground, and/or Prepared foods, BUT/AND/OR they also very gratefully eats RAW foods they have been placed in the freezer. Rabbit, Chicken, and/or combinations.

Yes the statement that cats are fussy eaters may well be true, Some; say it is not wise to continually feed them their favorite foods. I respectfully disagree with those so called and/or self proclaimed experts a balanced diet. Dogs may eat any vegetable they want; We do not feed our cats any starchy veggies, like peas and corn. Feeding RAW MEAT BONE AND/OR B.A.R.F. has as many arenas as does any other health issue. Take for instance kibble aka commercial made cats foods. Some say, Do Not Feed kibble, some say always feed kibble. We say feed what works best for you? Many grand champions are feed any number of menus.

IT IS WHAT WORKS FOR YOUR COMPANIONS THAT REALLY MATTERS

You will find, once you begin making your own pet foods that it is really relatively simple and you will save some money as well. remember that all pet foods should be served at room temperature. A POINT ON INTEREST. Some experts state that you should feed you cats three (3) times a day. Others state that two (2) times a day, morning and evening are enough for adults. Very few, which I know of, suggest only one (1) meal a day.

Here is one that we use:
1 lb. of ground rabbit with bone
1 lb of ground chicken with bone
1 lb of ground goat or lamb
1/2 lb of cooked oatmeal

Mix completely and portion out so that your companion will get two Percent (2%) of their body weight, if they are an adult. If they are not an adult yet we suggest you feed them two percent (2%) of the desired body weight. You can portion it out into meal size amounts. Or you can freeze in lump sums and defrost naturally, for use. For example you may mix enough for thirty days (30) worth of meal. Separate and freeze the amounts needed on a weekly basis. You be the judge of what you feed, when you feed, and any combinations you feed.

I review articles, e-books, printed materials, and products. Often times writing a review of the subject. I do not claim to be an expert, but I do believe my views and/or reviews are based upon all of the information I am able to gather.
